Medieval Monday ~ A Villain Creates Havoc in DRAGON KNIGHT'S SHIELD

Welcome to Medieval Monday!

We're starting a new theme: Villain. In addition, we're mixing things up with our excerpts. Instead of giving it to you all at once, we'll be sharing only segments. Think of it as teasers, tempting you to follow along.

This week, I'm sharing a few lines from a villain who has tormented the Dragon Knights in all of my stories--Lachlan! We'll revisit him with this powerful excerpt.

I hope you'll enjoy this refreshing twist on Medieval Monday!

EXCERPT ONE

“Deirdre is outside?” roared Angus. Another man came charging at them, but he tossed out the fire, instantly sending the man screaming to his death. Wiping the blood out of his eyes, he lifted his head. “Have ye seen Lachlan?”

“Nae.”

“Behind ye,” warned Angus.

Alastair bent and shoved a dirk into the oncoming man.

BLURB:

Angus MacKay, leader of the Dragon Knights, failed his brothers and his clan upon the death of his sister. Now he must fight the darkness of despair tempting his soul. Back on Scottish soil, he comes face to face with Deirdre who can wield a sword as mightily as his warriors, and takes her captive. Yet, with each passing day, the fire dragon inside him roars to claim the one woman fate has destined for him.

Famed mystery writer, Deirdre Flanagan, is unprepared for the next chapter in her life. On a vacation to Scotland, she steps through the mists and enters into a skirmish alongside a Highlander. However, the fight has only begun, and now she must battle Angus as well as evil in order to claim the love of this Dragon Knight.

Will their love be powerful enough to shield them from danger, or burn them to ashes?
