Sadly, we had to delay the start of Medieval Monday until February 4th. However, I'm going to continue with a medieval theme on Mondays on my blog.
As many of you know, I'm a visual person. I've been known to snatch up a book just by its stunning cover. The same can be said with medieval paintings. The walls of my home are graced with many, especially around my writing desk. I become mesmerized by the colors, faces, or the tiniest detail in the painting. My mind observes and then spins a tale. Here are some of my favorites...
Scottish Chiefs by N.C. Wyeth
The Meeting on the Turret Stairs by Frederic William Burton
Chivalry by Frank Dicksee
The Accolade by Edmund Leighton
Is your mind weaving a tale from these paintings? Are you a visual person as well? Do share!
