Happy New Year 2021! Welcome back to a new year of the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge hosted by the lovely people at Long and Short Reviews. Whew! I made it to 2021, though I honestly have lost track of the days of the week. I'm certain I'll be back to my new routine soon.
The topic for this week: My Goals for 2021.
I have a confession. I don't do goals, though I used to many years ago. What I do is choose a word to lead me into the new year. Last year's word was possibilities. Argh! We won't discuss what happened last year.
This year's word is hope. Simple. The word came to me a few days before the close of 2020, along with a brand new attitude for my life's direction. For thirteen years I've had this crazy work schedule--seven days a week. I tossed it out with 2020. Trust me, it was long overdue. Writing is now my main focus, but I'm including other activities--from continuing to learn the harp (currently, I have a lap harp), learning Gaelic, focusing on family (my hubby has been sorely neglected during my writing career), and simply slowing down. The business side will always be there, but I don't have to let it consume my daily life anymore.
You might say the above are goals, but I see them as a new journey.
So do you have goals for this year? Do you make any? Do share! Then hop on over here to see what the others are saying.
Until then, be safe and well. xo
